Wake up around noon today and decide it's time to clean up the place a little bit, as Tool will be coming home tonight from Florida. I spend the better half of my afternoon cleaning the condo. It's not by any means "filthy", but I figure he's gonna be tired and probably a little irritated from the flight (Tool's not the biggest fan of flying), so it might be nice for him to at least come home to a clean house.
After the cleaning, I chill out at my computer ripping my newest Netflix movies to my computer and updating the diary. Soon enough, 4:30 rolls around and it's time for me to get ready for another fun and exciting night at my hellish place of employment. I throw on my clothes and head out.
Work is absolutely fucking dead tonight. We literally get zero customers from 8:30 until we close at 10:00. This does, however, make it much easier to close the place and we're out of there at 10:10. I cruise home and give Justin a call on my way. He asks me to swing by and grab a case of beer and he and Mary will meet me at my place in about twenty minutes. I do as he requests and stop by the liquor store across the street from my condo. You know, the one where everybody knows MY name? It kinda makes me feel like a borderline alcoholic when I can walk into a liquor store and me and the cashier are on a first-name basis with each other.
I get home and am followed very shortly after by Mary, Justin, and Stein. We chill out on the couch checking out the newest episode of Tosh.0 from this week. After the episode is done, we hit up the table for some much needed alcohol indulgence. We play a few drinking games and get pretty fucking lit, so much so that Justin accidentally makes a fairly degrading comment to Mary, which ultimately leads to her leaving early to avoid confrontation. Justin feels terrible and embarrassed that he let such a dumb comment slip out, but we all know that Mary understands it was the booze talking, as she didn't seem overly upset. She just had to take some time off before it escalated into something worse. Smart woman, Mary is. Me and Stein try to comfort Justin's negative feelings towards his shortcoming of the evening, which leads into a very humorous discussion of how we can literally say the most offensive things to one another and it's perfectly fine. But, the second we go out into public and say those things in a crowd that's unfamiliar with our sense of humor, our comments that we find cheeky and fun can come off as offensive and disgusting to someone else. We all have a good laugh.
Stein cruises around 1:00 AM or so, about an hour after Tool comes home. Tool pretty much goes straight to bed and Justin and I stay up for a bit longer nursing a few more beers and discussing the financial obligations for our upcoming Vegas trip. We get all the money issues sorted out (who owes what to who) and bomb outside for a smoke before Justin takes off for the night. I cruise back inside, clean up from our shenanigans, do the nightly routine, and proceed to pass out in bed while watching Die Hard With A Vengeance.
